Delete Your Account

Last Updated: August 2, 2026

1. Which App This Covers

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data for Promote It (published on Google Play as Promote It : Get Paid to Share, package com.promoteit.app), and on the App Store and web. The app is published by DOTVIDEO LLC.

Deleting your account removes access to every profile you own — creator and brand alike. The same request covers all platforms; you do not need to repeat it per device.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

2.1 In the App (Recommended)

  1. Open Promote It and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Review the summary screen, which lists any active submissions, total earnings, wallet balance you would lose, and active campaigns, then tap Continue.
  6. Confirm with Schedule Deletion. Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted 30 days later.

2.2 By Email

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address registered on your account and ask us to delete it. We may need to verify that you control the account before we act on the request.

2.3 If Deletion Is Blocked

A brand owner with active campaigns cannot delete the account until those campaigns are ended or completed, so that creators already working on them are paid. The app tells you how many campaigns are blocking the request. End or cancel them, then repeat the steps above.

3. What Happens, and When

  • Immediately: the account is marked for deletion and push notifications stop — your push tokens are removed right away.
  • During the 30-day grace period: most data is kept so the request stays reversible. You can cancel by signing back in and choosing to cancel the deletion.
  • After 30 days: deletion is finalized automatically. It can no longer be undone.

4. What Is Deleted, and What Is Kept

4.1 Deleted at Finalization

  • Your authentication account and sign-in credentials.
  • Stored social OAuth credentials for connected accounts.
  • Payout and bank destination instructions, and integration keys.
  • Profile media objects (profile photo and similar uploads).
  • Device and event history tied to your account, and remaining push tokens.
  • A creator or brand profile that only you own is anonymized. If another active owner remains, your membership is removed and the shared profile stays available to that owner.

4.2 Kept, and for How Long

Some records must survive deletion so we can meet legal obligations, settle payments, and keep the marketplace honest. Where we keep them, direct profile identifiers are removed or restricted as far as reasonably possible.

  • Transactions, invoices, and tax records: for the required accounting or tax period — typically up to seven years, depending on jurisdiction.
  • Program, submission, public-post, metric, communication, and moderation records: while needed to perform agreements, calculate or defend payments, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our rights.
  • Backups and security logs: deleted data can persist temporarily in backups and provider recovery systems until overwritten through normal cycles.
  • A minimal suppression record: retained so that deletion, unsubscribe, fraud, or legal restrictions are not accidentally undone.

Deleting your Promote It account does not remove content you already published on a social network such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Remove that content from the platform where you posted it.

5. Deleting Some Data Without Deleting Your Account

You do not have to close your account to remove data from it.

  • Disconnect a social account. In the app, open the profile screen and disconnect the connected social account. This deletes the stored OAuth credential, stops future collection, and requests token revocation where the platform supports it. Synced connection and profile data is removed from the active connection record.
  • Edit or clear profile details. Personal details, profile photo, and preferences can be changed or emptied at any time in Settings.
  • Request a specific deletion. Email [email protected] describing the data you want removed. We assess each request under applicable law and the retention rules in section 4.2.

6. Related Policies and Contact

Full detail on retention, disconnection, and deletion is in section 7 of our Privacy Policy. Your broader data rights — access, correction, portability, objection — are in section 8 of the same document.
